A brief guide to buying over the Internet

The web site is designed to allow you to view the range of sofas and other items available from Christopher Designs. In particular there is information on fabrics, styles, colours, measurements, and various options available in the range.

As you progress around the web-site and make your selection you will arrive at the "shopping cart" section of the web-site. At this stage you will be given details of pricing and have an opportunity to specify your order in terms of the selection you have made and the quantities of each item you wish to purchase.

Each time you add to the shopping cart (this is intended to be like adding items to a shopping trolley at a supermarket), you will be shown details of what you have added to the shopping cart so far. You can quit at this point, or add more items to the shopping cart, or review its contents at each stage.

Once you are happy with your order, you can proceed to the "Check-out".
Again you can view the details of the order, and you will be given an opportunity to enter details of your order address, and delivery address (if different). The delivery address must be in the UK, and payment must be made in pounds sterling. You will also be prompted to enter the details of your credit card, and whether or not you wish to confirm the order. The details of your credit card will be encrypted and kept secure by the system at every stage.

When you confirm your order, a contract* with us is agreed, and confirmation details will be displayed back to you, together with the "Order Number". You should print this confirmation, if you have a printer connected to your machine, or otherwise make your own record of the information on the screen. Details of the order are also sent to us, and we will process the order and send an e-mail to you within a few days confirming that your order is in progress.
